The 18th annual event is with the National Trading Standards Scams Team.
Keynote speaker: Peter O’Doherty, Commissioner for the City of London Police. Other speakers include Nick Downing, Economic Crime Specialist for the audit and business advisory firm Deloitte; Claire Maillet, multi-award-winning counter-fraud expert, and disability inclusion activist; Arun Chauhan, specialist fraud disputes and financial crime compliance lawyer, and a Trustee Director for the charity the Fraud Advisory Panel; and Dr Tim Day, who completed a doctoral thesis that examined police records of rogue trading incidents and is a CTSI (Chartered Trading Standards Institute) Joint Lead Officer for Doorstep Crime.
The counter-fraud trade body, Cifas will lead a panel discussion on their role in combatting fraud and Dr Elisabeth Carter, Criminologist and Forensic Linguist, will be chairing a panel discussion with Louise Baxter MBE, Head of the National Trading Standards Scams Team.
