Jisc member and customer organisations are eligible for two complementary in person tickets. Programme so far for the CPD-accredited event at ICC Wales outside Newport includes:

A strategic update from JISC director of security David Batho;
Living and surviving a cyber-attack presented by Stuart Morgan, IT director, City of Portsmouth College;
Jiscโ€™s cyber escape room, putting your skills to theโ€ฏtest to hack devices, crack passwords, and decipher codes;
A look back at significant DDoS attacks across Janet, the lessons learnt and the changes made so far;
Ambrose Neville, head of information security, Queen Mary University of London, on third party risk management and assessment of vendors; and Thomas Willson, CISO, Imperial College London, on risk scoring of IT vulnerabilities.

Other Jisc speakers include Paul Knee, head of security operations; Mark Worthington, security centre operations manager; James Bisset, security specialist; and Richard Jackson, head of cloud security. Opening day one will be Charlie McMurdie, former head of the National Cyber Crime Unit of the Metropolitan Police, former senior cyber crime advisor for PwC UK and former UK lead for cyber crime with Interpol and Europol. Charlie will give an overview of cyber crime, and operational cases investigated and prosecuted, including organised crime groups attacking financial institutions, dark markets that facilitate cyber trade, internet frauds, phishing and hacktivist attacks.
