Speakers already confirmed for the event include Baroness Morgan of Cotes, a former Conservative MP and Minister, who will explore whether the Government has done enough to break the fraud chain. Angela McLaren, Commissioner for City of London Police, the UK’s lead force for fraud, will provide insights into policing in modern times – threats, activities and challenges. Louise Baxter, Head of the National Trading Standards Scams Team, will discuss the similarities between coercion and control in financial abuse and domestic abuse on victims.
