Lieutenant General Sir Simon Mayall, KBE, CB is the speaker this year from 6.30pm at the evening, followed by a drinks and canapes reception; in memory of Lord Peter Imbert, Metropolitan Police Commissioner from 1987 to 1993, and later Lord Lieutenant of Greater London (pictured). Sir Simon is author of ‘Soldier in the Sand, A Personal History of the Middle East’, published in 2020.
