Event is free to attend. Early submission of expressions of interest in attending is strongly recommended (by September 12) as places are limited. Welcomed are perspectives from academia, industry, NGOs and others.
Keeping the public safe exposes personnel tasked with this responsibility to situations that have the potential to negatively impact their wellbeing. For example, personnel may encounter distressing material, be required to spend extended time away from their usual support structures, or operate in physically and psychologically demanding conditions. For some, this may impact their emotional, psychological and/or physiological health. Understanding how to support people in these situations is paramount. This workshop will discuss how wellbeing may be affected, and the steps we can take to mitigate these risks.
The workshop is designed to identify the status of knowledge and innovation as it relates to personnel wellbeing with the aim of identifying priority areas for further research.
NABS+ comes under CREST, the ten-year-old academic Centre for Research and Evidence on Security Threats. Visit https://www.crestresearch.ac.uk/nabs/.
