Role:3rd Line IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist
Location: Kent
Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum

Are you an experienced 3rd Line IT Support & Infrastructure Specialist based in Kent, looking for a role where you can take ownership of group-wide infrastructure and play a key part in shaping a modern hybrid IT environment? Technical Resources is recruiting for a senior IT specialist to support and develop critical systems across a multi-site fire and security organisation.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 3rd line technical support across multiple UK sites

  • Lead and manage infrastructure projects, including disaster recovery and M365 tenant migrations

  • Administer and maintain the Microsoft 365 environment (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, Azure, Azure Arc)

  • Manage backup and recovery solutions (e.g. Veeam, Backup Exec)

  • Support and optimise physical and virtual server environments

  • Work closely with third-party vendors and internal stakeholders

  • Mentor 1st and 2nd line support engineers

  • Maintain IT security compliance, including MFA, access controls, and vulnerability remediation

  • Ensure system reliability through proactive maintenance and accurate documentation

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior IT support or infrastructure role

  • Strong experience supporting multi-site environments

  • Solid understanding of ITIL frameworks and best practice service delivery

  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server (2012–2025)

  • Microsoft 365 administration, including Azure and Entra ID

  • Active Directory and identity management expertise

  • Networking knowledg,e including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, VLANs, and BGP

  • Experience with Cisco Meraki and Catalyst infrastructure

  • Hyper-V virtualisation and replication experience

  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organisational skills
