Role: AV & Security Installation Engineer
Location: Edinburgh
Salary: £25,000 to £50,000 per annum
Are you looking for an AV & Security Installation Engineer position working in Edinburgh? As an AV & Security Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and commissioning integrated AV, data, and security systems across commercial and high-end residential sites. You will be working for a well-established provider of bespoke AV, data, telephony, and security installations.
Responsibilities:
● Install and commission AV, CCTV, access control, and structured cabling systems
● Complete first- and second-fix works including Cat5/6, fibre, coax and power
● Configure networked devices including switches, routers, PoE and VLAN setup
● Rack build and cable management to industry standards
● Carry out fibre and cable testing, fault-finding and documentation
● Liaise with clients and project teams, providing system handovers and user training
● Maintain tools and vehicle while following health and safety procedures
Experience and Certifications Required:
● A minimum of 3 years’ experience in AV, data or security installations
● Experience of IP networking and structured cabling systems
● Experience of IP CCTV, access control and AV equipment
● Ability to read site drawings and work independently
● CSCS Card required
● Full UK driving licence required
