Role: Contracts Manager

Location: London

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000 per annum

We are recruiting for an experienced Contracts Manager in London. This role involves overseeing multiple projects, ranging from 3G football pitches to Olympic-sized running tracks and athletics fields, across Greater London and the South of England.


  • Manage and oversee the contract lifecycle for multiple sports pitch and surface projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget, maintaining the highest quality standards.
  • Collaborate closely with project teams, including site managers, subcontractors, and suppliers, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Maintain continuous communication with clients, providing updates and addressing concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  • Implement effective cost control and management strategies to maximise project profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations on all project sites.
  • Facilitate problem-solving and conflict resolution among project teams and stakeholders.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports on project progress, expenditures, and forecasts for senior management.
  • Manage accommodations and logistics for project teams when required to stay away from home base.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Proven experience in a Contracts Manager role within the civil engineering sector, particularly with projects related to Highways, Artificial Pitches, or similar civil projects.
  • Strong background in managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards and a commitment to promoting a safe work environment.
  • A valid driver’s license, as this role includes a company car and fuel, with travel to various project sites.
