Role: Engineer
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000
We are seeking a professional and dependable Engineer to deliver a mix of installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair services across a variety of systems. This role offers exposure to diverse sites and technologies, with projects ranging from commercial and industrial to residential environments. Suitable for engineers from electrical, mechanical, fire & security, or data cabling backgrounds.
Responsibilities:

Conduct planned and reactive maintenance of building services systems

Undertake installations, upgrades, and minor works in line with relevant standards

Diagnose and repair faults to minimise equipment downtime

Accurately complete all relevant documentation: job sheets, risk assessments, compliance reports

Liaise with internal teams and clients to provide updates and technical recommendations

Adhere to health & safety regulations and ensure compliance with industry best practices
-
Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and company vehicle (if applicable)

Participate in an on-call rota (if required) and respond to emergency call-outs
Experience and Certifications Required:
-
Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in one or more relevant disciplines

Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, or wiring diagrams

Proficient with hand tools, test meters, and power tools
-
Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
-
Capable of working both independently and within a team environment
