Role: Engineer
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000

We are seeking a professional and dependable Engineer to deliver a mix of installation, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair services across a variety of systems. This role offers exposure to diverse sites and technologies, with projects ranging from commercial and industrial to residential environments. Suitable for engineers from electrical, mechanical, fire & security, or data cabling backgrounds.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct planned and reactive maintenance of building services systems

  • Undertake installations, upgrades, and minor works in line with relevant standards

  • Diagnose and repair faults to minimise equipment downtime

  • Accurately complete all relevant documentation: job sheets, risk assessments, compliance reports

  • Liaise with internal teams and clients to provide updates and technical recommendations

  • Adhere to health & safety regulations and ensure compliance with industry best practices

  • Maintain and care for tools, equipment, and company vehicle (if applicable)

  • Participate in an on-call rota (if required) and respond to emergency call-outs

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Minimum 2 years’ hands-on experience in one or more relevant disciplines

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, or wiring diagrams

  • Proficient with hand tools, test meters, and power tools

  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving capabilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Capable of working both independently and within a team environment
