Role: Fire and Security Field Line Manager
Location: West London
Salary: £52,000 per annum + Bonus + Car or Car Allowance.
Are you a Fire and Security Field Line Manager based in West London, looking for a new opportunity? As a Fire and Security Field Line Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing and developing a team of fire and security engineers across West London and the surrounding areas. You’ll be working for a well-established fire and security organisation focused on quality delivery, continuous improvement, and strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day activities of field-based fire and security engineers to ensure efficient operations
- Recruit new engineers and deliver a strong onboarding experience
- Drive continuous improvement across engineer performance, training, and development
- Coach engineers, identifying progression opportunities and training needs
- Manage the on-call rota, ensuring customer requirements, KPIs, and SLAs are met
- Attend site investigations and customer-requested visits when required
- Ensure quality standards across all works, including technical and job audits
- Act as an escalation point for technical queries from engineers and office teams
- Take responsibility for RAMS, PPE, toolbox talks, van audits, and accident investigations
- Complete escalation or aged works for a small percentage of time to support revenue
- Conduct annual appraisals and lead regular team meetings
- Support upskilling and ongoing technical development of engineers
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Over 5 years of experience working with fire and security systems
- Comprehensive industry experience with strong technical knowledge
- Good understanding of relevant legislation, standards, and compliance
- Experience leading, coaching, or developing engineering teams
- Previous management or supervisory experience
- Ability to work under pressure and meet operational deadlines
