Role: Fire and Security Installation Engineer
Location: Leeds
Salary: £32,000 to £40,000 per annum

We are seeking an experienced Fire and Security Installation Engineer to carry out installation and commissioning works on a range of fire detection and electronic security systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality installations across commercial and industrial environments in accordance with BS standards and client specifications.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, and test Fire Alarm, CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarm systems.

  • Carry out 1st and 2nd fix, including cabling, containment, and termination.

  • Configure and program systems to meet client and compliance requirements.

  • Work from drawings and specifications to ensure accurate installations.

  • Complete necessary documentation, test certificates, and reports.

  • Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and technical standards.

  • Liaise with project managers, clients, and site teams to ensure smooth project delivery.

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Proven experience installing and commissioning Fire and Security systems.

  • Knowledge of major brands such as Kentec, Morley, Advanced, Paxton, Texecom, Galaxy, Hikvision, or similar.

  • Strong understanding of BS5839 and BS EN 50132 standards.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
