Job Title: Fire and Security Service Engineer

Location: Surrey and Kent

Rate: £220 p/day

We are seeking a dedicated Fire and Security Service Engineer to perform service and maintenance works on both addressable and conventional fire alarm panels, as well as electronic security systems. This role will cover various sites across Surrey and Kent, requiring a versatile engineer capable of managing a diverse workload.

Description of contract/programme of works:

  • Conduct Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on fire alarms, CCTV, access control, intruder alarms, and emergency lighting systems.
  • Work with systems including Advanced, Haes, Notifier, Gent (Fire Alarms); Hikvision (CCTV); Galaxy, Premier, Menvier, Texecom (Intruder); Paxton (Access Control).
  • Complete a minimum of 5 PPMs per day across different sites, ensuring high standards of work and system functionality.

Experience required:

  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in fire and security, with in-depth knowledge of various systems and their maintenance requirements.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple PPMs effectively, with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Required documentation/certifications/tooling:

  • DBS check is essential for working in sensitive environments.
  • BS7858 Screening to be initiated for candidates who haven’t completed this standard.
  • ECS Fire Installer, ECS Electrician, IPAF, 17th Edition, NVQ Level, Lenel, City & Guilds Certifications. Additional fire qualifications are highly beneficial.
  • Contractors must provide their own hand tools, fire test equipment, drills, steps, ladders, and full Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • An Android phone or tablet is required for completing and submitting electronic dockets related to PPM tasks.
