Job Title: Fire Commissioning Engineer
Location: Newcastle
Rate: £220 p/day
We are seeking an experienced Fire Commissioning Engineer to support commissioning works in Newcastle. The engineer will report directly to the Project Manager and will be responsible for commissioning a variety of open protocol fire alarm systems, with some exposure to closed protocol systems.
Description of contract/programme of works:

Commission and test fire detection systems in line with BS 5839 standards.

Work on a range of open protocol panels (some closed systems may also be included).

Collaborate with site teams and the Project Manager to ensure all systems meet performance criteria.

Complete system checks, verification, and handover documentation.

Ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance across all commissioning activities.
Experience required:

Proven experience commissioning fire alarm systems (Advanced, Kentec, Morley, etc.).

Strong understanding of open protocol systems and relevant fire safety standards.

Ability to work independently and manage workloads efficiently.
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:

ECS Card
-
Electrical qualification (NVQ / City & Guilds)

IPAF / PASMA
