Role: Fire & Security Design Estimator
Location: Cambridgeshire
Salary: £45,000 to £55,000 per annum
One of the Midlands’ leading electronic fire & security companies is looking to recruit a Design Estimator who has extensive experience in the design of Fire, Life Safety, and Electronic Security systems. The company has a long-standing record of delivering some of the most innovative solutions to industries, including Retail, M&E, and Blue-chip commercial customers.
Responsibilities:
- Designing fire and security systems in line with relevant British Standards
- Producing quotations and estimates for new installation projects
- Understanding client requirements and developing detailed system designs
- Providing design input for major and complex projects
- Attending client sites to carry out surveys where required
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Previous experience working as a Fire Alarm Designer or Design Estimator
- Strong understanding of fire and life safety systems
- Good working knowledge of security systems, including CCTV, Access Control, and Intruder Alarms (preferred)
- Experience managing customer accounts and liaising with clients
- Ability to produce accurate, detailed designs and costings
