Role: Fire & Security Service & Small Works Engineer
Location: Northamptonshire & Oxfordshire
Salary: £38,000 to £45,000 per annum

Are you an experienced Fire & Security Service & Small Works Engineer based in the Midlands? Looking for a role where no two days are the same and you can work across Fire, CCTV, Intruder, and Access Control systems?
Technical Resources is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing fire and security business operating across commercial and public sector sites, delivering high-quality service, maintenance, and small works.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete service and maintenance visits across multiple sites
  • Service and maintain fire alarm systems (addressable & conventional – essential)
  • Carry out service and small works on intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems
  • Fault-finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance across all systems
  • Work with IP-based and legacy analogue systems
  • Ensure all work complies with British Standards and company procedures
  • Accurately complete service reports and documentation
  • Provide technical support to clients and junior engineers
  • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and site compliance

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Proven experience servicing Fire, CCTV, Intruder, and Access Control systems
  • Strong knowledge of fault diagnosis, commissioning, and testing procedures
  • Experience with addressable and conventional fire alarm systems (essential)
  • Knowledge of Galaxy, Texecom, Scantronic, Paxton, PAC Net,2, and IP CCTV (beneficial)
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
