Role: Fire Systems Installation Engineer
Location: Hull
Salary: £30,000 to £38,000 per annum
Are you a Fire Systems Installation Engineer looking for your next contract opportunity? As a Fire Systems Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for surveying, designing, installing, and commissioning fire alarm and suppression systems across commercial and industrial environments. You’ll be joining a respected fire and security specialist delivering high-quality installations in line with British Standards
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys to assess fire risks and identify system requirements.
- Design and install fire alarm and suppression systems, including detectors, control panels, and suppression equipment.
- Complete cabling and wiring to BS5839 standards.
- Test, program, and commission systems to ensure full functionality and client satisfaction.
- Carry out fault-finding, troubleshooting, and regular maintenance as required.
- Ensure compliance with current regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
- Liaise with clients to provide technical support and updates on project progress.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience installing and commissioning fire alarm and suppression systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of addressable and conventional systems (e.g., Advanced, Kentec, Gent, or similar).
- Understanding of BS5839 and other relevant fire safety standards.
- Experience working independently on commercial or industrial projects.
