Job Title: Gent Commissioning Engineer
Location: Stockton-on-Tees
Rate: £350 p/day
Are you looking for a Gent Commissioning Engineer position based in Stockton-on-Tees? As a Gent Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for commissioning addressable fire alarm systems, ensuring full compliance, functionality, and seamless integration. You will be working for a specialist fire systems provider delivering upgrade works across commercial and industrial sites.
Description of contract/programme of works:
- Commissioning and configuring Gent fire alarm systems
- Conducting cause-and-effect testing and system validation
- Working with installation teams to complete pre-commissioning checks
- Completing commissioning sheets and updating system documentation
- Supporting final client sign-off and handover
Experience required:
- A minimum of 3+ years’ experience working on fire alarm commissioning
- Strong knowledge of Gent Vigilon / Gent Nano systems
- Understanding of BS5839 and fire safety commissioning standards
Required documentation/certifications/tooling:
- ECS or CSCS Card
- Standard PPE
- Laptop with commissioning software capability
- Basic hand tools and test equipment
