Role: Multi-Skilled Engineer
Location: Huddersfield
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 per annum

We are looking for a reliable and versatile Multi-Skilled Engineer with a core background in electrical, mechanical, or fire & security systems. This role offers a varied working environment across commercial, residential, and industrial premises, delivering planned and reactive maintenance, small installation works, compliance testing, and fault diagnosis across a wide range of systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair works

  • Diagnose and repair faults across electrical, mechanical, or life safety systems, depending on your core trade

  • Perform minor installation works (e.g. lighting, power circuits, HVAC components, fire alarms, etc.)

  • Maintain accurate documentation (job sheets, test reports, risk assessments)

  • Liaise with clients, facilities teams, or residents to coordinate works and resolve issues

  • Adhere to all health & safety protocols and site-specific procedures

  • Participate in on-call rota (where applicable) and attend emergency callouts

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Demonstrable experience as a maintenance engineer, electrical engineer, or fire & security technician

  • Solid fault-finding skills and the ability to work across multiple disciplines

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and manuals

  • Familiarity with testing equipment and tools relevant to your trade

  • Strong communication, client liaison, and time-management skills

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a mobile team
