Role: Passive Fire Protection Surveyor
Location: London
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum

As a Passive Fire Protection Surveyor, you’ll play a vital role in maintaining the safety and integrity of buildings. You’ll work closely with the Operations Manager, Admin Team, and Directors to deliver quality surveys, maintain compliance, and drive client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

● Conduct detailed fire door and passive fire inspections to assess compliance with fire safety regulations.
● Identify and document defects or non-compliant elements within fire doors, frames, and associated hardware.
● Carry out risk assessments and prioritise remedial actions based on potential fire safety impacts.
● Produce comprehensive inspection reports highlighting findings and recommendations.
● Provide guidance on fire door maintenance, compartmentation, and safety standards.
● Collaborate with architects, engineers, and fire safety officers to ensure installations meet regulations.
● Deliver training and awareness sessions on fire safety best practice.
● Stay up to date with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices within passive fire protection.

Experience and Certifications Required:

● Proven experience in Fire Door Surveying and Passive Fire Protection.
● Relevant qualifications or certifications (CSCS, SMSTS, PASMA – FIRAS accreditation desirable).
● Strong technical knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance requirements.
● Excellent communication skills and client-facing experience.
● Self-motivated and proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
● Competent in Microsoft Excel, Word, and digital reporting tools.
● Full, clean UK driving licence (some travel and overnight stays required).
