Job Title: Project Planner – Security Systems Upgrade
Location: Plymouth

Rate: £250 – £300 p/day

Are you looking for a Project Planner role working in Plymouth? As a Project Planner, you will support a large-scale security systems upgrade, taking ownership of programme development and control in line with NEC contract requirements. You’ll be working closely with project management teams and client stakeholders to ensure accurate planning, reporting, and delivery.

Description of contract/programme of works:

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project programmes in line with NEC requirements

  • Integrate all project activities to ensure alignment with overall project goals

  • Work closely with the project management team to translate objectives and scope into detailed schedules

  • Identify and report programme delays, proposing mitigation strategies to senior management

  • Manage NEC planning, monitoring, and control processes, including revised programme submissions

  • Support early warning processes, identifying risks, changes, and mitigation actions

  • Manage programme updates linked to compensation events and contract changes

  • Facilitate collaborative planning sessions with clients and stakeholders

Experience required:

  • Proven experience working as a Project Planner

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project

  • Experience operating within NEC contract environments

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Required documentation/certifications/tooling:

  • Relevant planning and project controls experience

  • Microsoft Project proficiency
