Our client is a specialist security company delivering premium electronic security solutions to some of the UK’s most prestigious residential properties. The business operates with a small, highly trusted engineering team and places strong emphasis on professionalism and long-term client relationships.
Role Summary
This is a client-facing Security Engineer role focused on servicing, repairs, remedial works and minor installation tasks across high-end residential properties. You will work within a small engineering team, covering a local patch and supporting premium clients who expect a polished and professional service. The role offers a strong work-life balance, limited callout requirements, and consistent weekday working hours. Success in this role comes from technical competence, reliability, and excellent customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, fault finding, repairs and remedial works on residential security systems
- Complete minor installation works when required
- Maintain and support intruder alarms and CCTV systems, primarily Pyronix and Hikvision
- Attend an average of 7 to 8 maintenance visits per day within a defined local patch
- Provide a professional, courteous and client-focused service at all times
- Communicate clearly with homeowners and internal colleagues regarding works completed
- Accurately complete service reports and documentation
- Participate in the callout rota on a 1 in 4 basis, with minimal callouts due to remote resolution
- Ensure compliance with company standards and security best practice
Key Requirements
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience as a Security Engineer in a service and maintenance environment
- Strong knowledge of intruder alarms and CCTV systems
- Experience with Pyronix and Hikvision systems
- Full UK driving licence
- DBS clearance (or ability to obtain) – Essential
- Excellent communication skills and a professional, presentable manner
- Comfortable working in high-end residential environments
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working with additional CCTV or security product ranges
- Background in premium or high-net-worth residential properties
Location and Work Pattern
- Covering Marlow, Bourne End, Windsor, Slough and Reading
- Site-based role across a defined local patch
- Working hours are 8:00am to 4:00pm
- 40 hours per week
