Role: Security Engineer – Service & Maintenance
Location: West Midlands
Salary: £32,000 to £35,000 per annum
Are you an experienced Security Engineer based in the West Midlands or along the M40 corridor looking for a long-term service and maintenance role with a genuinely supportive employer? As a Security Engineer, you’ll be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and fault-finding intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems across a varied customer base. You’ll be working for an award-winning security specialist known for quality, innovation, and investing in their people.
Responsibilities:
- Service and maintain intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems in line with BS/EN standards
- Carry out fault-finding and corrective works on existing systems
- Complete small works identified during maintenance visits, including replacing cameras and detectors
- Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
- Adhere to health & safety regulations and RAMS
- Complete job documentation accurately and on time
- Participate in the on-call rota
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain strong client relationships
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to meet service targets
Experience and Certifications Required:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in security service and maintenance
- Strong experience with intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems
- Experience with Dahua CCTV
- Experience with Texecom, Pyronix, Ajax, and Galaxy intruder systems
- Experience with Paxton access control systems
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to pass BS7858 security screening
