Monatrix – Security EngineerLocation:Field based – Central Region covering South West London, Buckinghamshire, Oxford, Slough, Reading, Camberley, down to Guildford. Some occasional work in Central London.Reporting to:Engineering ManagerJob Purpose & Summary:In this role, you will carry out installations, service & maintenance visits, and corrective works for our clients. While most of the work is done on customer premises, there may be occasional preliminary tasks at the Monatrix office. As a key, customer-facing member of the team, you will support the delivery of high-quality installations, maintenance, and service, ensuring all communications and documentation are accurate and up-to-date. You’ll be the primary contact for clients, helping to deliver exceptional customer service in line with Monatrix’s values.Key Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- ECS / CSCS certification (essential — Monatrix can assist in arranging this if needed)
- IPAF or PASMA card (advantageous, but not essential)
- Previous experience with enterprise security systems (e.g., CCure, Gallagher, Milestone) is a plus — but not required
- Willingness to travel. There may occasionally be overnight stays, for which Monatrix will cover hotel costs, provide a meal allowance, and pay an additional 2 hours of overtime per day for away work

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain clear, accurate daily communication and documentation with office coordinators
- Uphold Monatrix’s values and present a professional image to customers
- Carry out installations & service in a professional, efficient, and safe manner
- Respect customer sites – ensure they are left clean and tidy
- Complete and return all required documentation to the office promptly and accurately
- Keep company vehicles clean; report any damage immediately
- Adhere to work specification and report any required changes to the office for approval
- Perform initial investigative work on service calls (maximum one hour); obtain authorisation before continuing past this time
- Travel to customer sites across the UK when required
- Potential overnight stays for consecutive nights for some projects
- Record and update all installation, service, maintenance, and progress documentation in line with company processes
- Support and assist engineering colleagues and follow guidance from project managers, senior engineers, and coordinators
Minimum Education / Training:
- At least 2 years’ experience in engineering or a similar service role
