A fantastic opportunity to become part of this world-famous luxury retailer and join a new team at a new luxury store. You will play an integral part in ensuring the safety and security of people, property and merchandise.
The Job
• Performs security duty to protect company premises and property from unauthorized entry or theft using visual observation and cameras.
• Provides security for store staff and assets during store opening and closing according to the organisation’s global standards.
• Maintains a post or security checkpoint. Greets visitors/clients and provides a high level of customer service.
• Communicates well with sales and administrative staff.
• Safeguards store and offices by escorting visitors and monitoring outsider’s activities.
• Logs in outside contractors.
• Maintain security logs, records and reports of occurrences; input or retrieve data on the computer.
• Provides a security presence for the building or a section of the building.
• Ensure proper functioning of store security equipment.
• Prevents damage to property.
• Monitors merchandise while customers are in the salon.
• Provides security escort for staff and clients, and at offsite events.
• Controls access to the salon by monitoring the front entrance. Ensures the safety of all staff.
• Observes activity in the store. Regular reporting to Head of Security.
• Able to work outside of regular duty hours such as evenings, weekends and holidays as well as travel occasionally.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
The Person
• High School diploma.
• Relevant Security Guard Licence.
• Strong background of working in security, law enforcement or luxury retail security experience.
• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• Professional presentation, who has excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. In-depth knowledge, understanding and execution of security procedures, policies and operational protocols.
• Experience working with CCTV equipment and alarm systems.
• Computer literacy Physical fitness a must as the ability to stand for long periods of time is necessary.
• Satisfactory completion of an approved security guard training course approved by the state.
• Pass criminal background check.
• CPR/First-Aid Certificates.
