Security Service Engineer | Yorkshire (with travel across Yorkshire and the North West)
Key responsibilities:
- Responding to reactive service call-outs within agreed contractual response times
- Fault finding and achieving first-time fixes wherever possible
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance
- Completing small works and minor installations
- Providing out-of-hours technical support and attending call-outs as required
- Working flexibly across both the Yorkshire and North West regions
- Maintaining high standards of customer service and professionalism at all times
Experience & Technical Requirements

A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with:
-
IP and analogue CCTV systems
-
Access Control systems
-
Intruder Alarm systems
-
- Strong experience with IP CCTV networks and recording platforms such as Avigilon, Axis and similar
- Broad knowledge of Access Control systems, from industry-standard solutions (e.g. Paxton, WinPak) through to enterprise and single-platform systems such as CEM and Kantech
- Working knowledge of Intruder Alarm systems, particularly Galaxy and Texecom, with a basic understanding of relevant industry standards
- Strong IP and IT proficiency
- Some fire systems knowledge would be advantageous but is not essential
- Experience working with public space CCTV is preferred
Qualifications & Certifications
- CSCS, ECS or equivalent certification preferred
- IPAF licence advantageous
- Demonstrable electrical knowledge and testing capability
This role would suit a service-driven security engineer looking for stability, strong earning potential and the opportunity to work with a wide range of modern security technologies.
This is a field-based role focused on reactive fault response, preventative maintenance and small works, with participation in an on-call rota and out-of-hours technical support when required.
