Role: Security Systems Engineer
Location: Hull
Salary: £30,000 to £38,000 per annum
Are you a Security Systems Engineer looking for your next opportunity? As a Security Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and commissioning of CCTV, access control, and intruder detection systems. You’ll join a leading fire and security contractor delivering high-quality projects across commercial, industrial, and public sector environments.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct site surveys and system planning to assess risks and identify security requirements.
- Design and install CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems in line with client specifications and industry standards.
- Assist in developing detailed system schematics, layouts, and material requirements.
- Perform maintenance, testing, and troubleshooting to ensure reliable system performance.
- Carry out root-cause analysis for technical issues and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant standards and accreditation requirements.
- Maintain detailed records, as-built documentation, and test reports.
- Liaise effectively with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
Experience and Certifications Required:
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience working with integrated security systems.
- Strong technical knowledge of CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm solutions.
- Experience designing, installing, and maintaining IP-based security systems.
- Understanding of BS EN 50132, BS EN 50133, or similar industry standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
