Role: Service Engineer
Location: London
Salary: £37,000 to £45,000 per annum

Are you looking for a Service Engineer position working in London? As a Service Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining the performance and reliability of Smart Building technologies across a diverse client portfolio. This is a hands-on role involving both reactive and planned service activities, ensuring that issues related to security systems and network infrastructure are resolved efficiently and within agreed SLAs. You will be working for a leading smart building solutions provider.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to reactive service calls and undertake planned maintenance across client sites, ensuring timely issue resolution within SLA targets
  • Diagnose and resolve faults in security systems (including CCTV and access control) as well as network infrastructure
  • Liaise directly with client stakeholders, including site management and IT teams, to coordinate service activities with minimal disruption
  • Work with third-party suppliers and hardware vendors to expedite parts replacement, technical support, and issue resolution
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including fault reports, maintenance logs, and system updates
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as the Service Desk and Technical Support to escalate and resolve complex issues
  • Provide technical feedback and recommendations for system improvements or upgrades
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies during all site activities
  • Participate in an on-call rota to provide out-of-hours support when required

Experience and Certifications Required:

  • Certifications in security systems (NSI, SSAIB) or networking (CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA)
  • Full UK driving licence
