We are currently partnering with a leading fire and security systems specialist to recruit an experienced Service Supervisor for a prestigious static-site position based in Canary Wharf.

Due to continued growth and ongoing investment in service delivery, they are seeking a technically strong and people-focused supervisor to support the management of their on-site engineering operation.

The Opportunity

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced fire systems professional looking to take the next step into a leadership-focused role, while remaining hands-on with technical support and service delivery.

Working closely with the Field Line Manager, you will help oversee a team of engineers, ensuring the highest standards of performance, safety, customer service, and operational efficiency are consistently achieved.

The role offers a blend of leadership, technical expertise, mentoring, and operational planning, making it ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys developing people and driving service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Field Line Manager in the day-to-day supervision of engineering operations.

  • Lead by example, creating a positive and high-performing team culture.
  • Mentor, coach, and develop engineers to enhance technical capability and career progression.
  • Assist with onboarding and induction of new team members.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and fault-finding assistance for complex fire system issues.
  • Deliver remote technical support to engineers when required.
  • Monitor service delivery performance and ensure KPI targets are achieved.
  • Conduct regular health and safety audits and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and company procedures.
  • Develop and implement corrective action plans where improvements are required.
  • Act as a key communication link between site operations and management teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
  • Plan and coordinate engineering resources, materials, and work schedules to meet operational demands.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:

  • Extensive experience within the fire systems industry.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Gent and Notifier systems.
  • Previous supervisory, team leader, or management experience within an engineering environment.
  • FIA qualifications or equivalent industry-recognised certifications.
  • IOSH, SSSTS, or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
  • Strong understanding of fire system servicing, maintenance, and fault diagnosis.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Knowledge of contract management, service delivery, and commercial awareness.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • A full UK driving licence.
