Security Service & Commissioning Engineer | East Midlands / Northwest / Yorkshire & The Humber | Competitive + travel, overtime & benefits
The Role
We are looking for a skilled Security Service & Commissioning Engineer to join a growing team, supporting retail clients across the Midlands, Northwest & Yorkshire. This is a field-based role involving extensive travel, focused on the servicing, maintenance, and commissioning of electronic security systems for Enterprise and Medium level clients.
You’ll play a key role in ensuring systems are fully operational, compliant, and performing to the highest standards across multiple retail sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and fault-find on electronic security systems
- Commission and configure CCTV and associated systems on new and existing sites
- Carry out reactive and preventative maintenance visits
- Diagnose and resolve system faults efficiently to minimise downtime
- Complete system testing, upgrades, and software configuration
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting following site visits
- Work closely with clients to provide a professional and responsive service
- Adhere to all health & safety and industry compliance standards
Systems & Technology
You will primarily work with:
- CCTV systems (including Hikvision and Hanwha)
- Associated IP-based security systems and infrastructure
About You
- Proven experience in servicing and commissioning security systems
- Strong working knowledge of CCTV platforms, particularly Hikvision and Hanwha
- Confident in fault finding and system diagnostics
- Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
- Flexible and willing to travel extensively across the UK, including overnight stays
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Full UK driving licence
