Roseclaim Ltd has awarded Showsec the contract to supply full stewarding and security at V Festival in Staffordshire. The two day V Festival, now in its 18th year, is one of the UKโs largest annual music events. Held at Staffordshireโs Weston Park in tandem with a sister event in Chelmsford each summer, over 80,000 people gather to see rock and pop headliners, which this year include Beyoncรฉ and Kings of Leon, on August 17 and 18 2013.
V Festival production manager Andy Redhead says: โIโm delighted we have appointed Showsec as our security and stewarding supplier for the V Festival in Weston Park. They have proven capability to implement modern festival security consistently with a balance of security and understanding the behaviour of a festival audienceโ
Showsec will provide upwards of 1,000 security staff to this yearโs main festival site and camp sites. The contract says Showsec consolidates its presence in the festival market, underpinned by an expanded management infrastructure.
