2012 Query

by Msecadm4921

What’s your organisations’ experience in securing major sporting events? Ahead of 2012, the UK Security and Resilience Suppliers’ Community (RISC) and the Olympic Security Directorate (OSD) are asking for input from industry.

A survey is by RISC seeks to enable UK industry to inform Government about industry experience in previous Olympic Games and other major sporting events and to record lessons learnt.

David Evans, Co-chairman of the RISC Industry Advisory Group which has created the survey, the BSIA liaison man on the London Games, says: "RISC and the OSD are well aware of the breadth of knowledge and experience in the UK security industry with regard to securing major sporting events. This is a unique opportunity for us to harness this knowledge and for security companies to provide input into the planning for London 2012."

Organisations with experience of previous major events can access the survey at:

The closing date for submitting responses is September 15, 2009. A RISC team comprising its trade associations will then collate responses to be submitted to the Olympic Security Directorate. All responses will remain confidential and when the survey is reported on, the results will be non attributable to individuals or companies.
