3D Campaign

by msecadm4921

Northumbria Police in the Central Gateshead area report that they have so far made 16 arrests for criminal damage as part of the ongoing 3D (Don’t Do Damage) campaign.

The 3D campaign was launched in the centre of Gateshead to crack down on criminal damage such as graffiting and vehicle damage following community concerns and rising costs of criminal damage, which is costing the borough hundreds of thousands of pounds every year.

Neighbourhood policing teams are working with residents and partner organisations to identify offenders and prevent criminal damage. Officers have also been targeting key areas through intelligence gathering and conducting high visibility patrols.

Officers so far have arrested offenders in the area for fire damages, breaking windows, vandalising cars and graffiting buildings and personal property.
