HID Global, the access control product manufacturer, is merging with ASSA ABLOY Identification Technologies (ITG).
The merged firms will now operate as one company: HID Global. According to the US firm, the objective is to strengthen the value proposition to customers by optimising the combined resources, specifically in technology development, identity solutions and worldwide delivery.

Customers can expect to see an increase in what the firm calls converged and vertical market solutions for secure identity-related applications. HID Global channels will continue to see the Sokymat and OmniKey product brands through this transition.
