Training For Success and Skills for Security report the launch of what they call a blended solution for the Community Safety for Accredited Persons programme, awarded by Edexcel.
The new qualification is designed to provide education and training for those in the security and safety industry who wish to become accredited persons. This award will ensure that an individual’s training underpins the role that accredited persons play within the extended police family. The intention is to allow ‘accredited persons’ to address some lower level anti-social behaviours and community safety issues such as graffiti, dropping litter and consumption of alcohol in designated public places.

Already in use by a number of public and private organisations, enforcement staff at the London borough recently celebrated a 100pc pass rate and Waitrose Supermarkets have recently procured the solution for their in house security officers."
The scheme is available for £302.50 plus vat, per delegate (or £252.50 plus vat per delegate if they are exempt from the conflict resolution). An additional examination fee of £47.50 plus vat per delegate is also applicable.
