Apartment Storage

by Msecadm4921

A new storage product, “Sto-It” has been developed and tested over the last two years. Able to store items up to 2.4m long and 1.2m high, this steel unit can hold up to 500kg and is designed to utilise the free space above your car bonnet, in your underground car parking bay.

The product’s developer, Jim Daly, says: "We knew there was a gap in the market for a readily accessible storage facility which would allow apartment owners and those without garages to securely store bulky items such as prams, bikes, sports equipment and boxes, without the unnecessary inconvenience you experience with lock-up units. What we didn’t anticipate was the extent of the demand, which is coming from not only apartment owners but building developers and office managers, too."

The product is designed to sit on height-adjustable legs above your car bonnet as it sits in your parking bay. It has an approved locking system and steel drilled floor anchors for security. It doesn’t need planning permission but those renting their property are advised to seek their landlord’s permission before having it installed.

Available for under £20 per week, at the end of the three year payment period, it is yours to manage how you wish, an alternative option to renting a lock-up unit. It is available in the UK, or can even be installed in holiday apartments abroad, to save transporting those bulky items each time. It takes around one hour to install and can be relocated.

Based in Ireland, Jim says that he has recently needed to expand his business, opening another office in Warrington, Cheshire, to deal with enquiries and orders. Sto-It can be contacted on free phone 0800 9549 249 or visit –
