Approved Trainers

by Msecadm4921

All of the trainers at The Shield Guarding Company have met the newly published SIA requirement for trainers to be qualified with an approved trainer’s qualification by January 2006.

The five members of the training team completed their BTEC Advanced Award in Training and Presenting with SAFE in January.

What they say

Stuart Kedward, Human Resources Director of The Shield Guarding Company said: “The quality of training that we provide to our security officers has a direct impact upon the quality of the service that we can provide to our customers. By selecting an advanced trainer’s award with SAFE we have ensured that our trainers possess a wide breadth of professional training skills to support both our learners, and the broader development of training and development activity in our company. We want to be seen as a learning company, raising our service levels still further from what is already a very high base. We are highly delighted by the results of this programme, the effects of which are already being reflected in the quality of our front line staff.” Raymond Clarke, director of SAFE said: “We are delighted that Shield chose the SAFE/BTEC option and have thoroughly enjoyed working with such a high quality team. Interest in the SAFE programme has been very strong and growing, with many of our candidates ultimately gaining the full NVQ level three in Training and Development. It is apparent that this programme will become the norm for those wishing to become training professionals in the sector and it comes as no surprise that Shield is one of the first to adopt the programme at an organisational level.”
