by msecadm4921

IDL officially launched their new Fastlane 400 series in Asia at the Security Asia event, held in Singapore.

As part of the opening events in October 2003, Singapore’s Senior Minister for Law and Home Affairs, Professor Ho Peng Kee, toured the exhibition and showed interest in the new Fastlane range, as demonstrated to him by Michael Bystram. As a result of the exhibition IDL have won the contract to supply Fastlane plus to two of Singapore’s most prestigious office buildings.

Top Solutions, based out of Singapore, have been appointed as IDL’s new master distributor for the Fastlane range in the Asia Pacific region. Franky Gan of Top Solutions says: "Following the increased risk for office buildings in the region, we are finding more and more businesses want to enhance the security of their office buildings by making a secure perimeter at the reception of the building to try to make sure only authorised persons enter the building. However, prior to Fastlane, this has always been challenging because of the speed of throughput and the aesthetic implications of traditional turnstiles. We have found that the Fastlane range of turnstiles have the combination of features and aesthetics that make them ideally suited to the office building security and as such are delighted to have added them to the range of market leading products now available from Top Solutions."

Four lanes of Fastlane plus R400 MA have recently been installed in National Drilling Company, NDC’s new head office in Abu Dhabi in the UAE. The NDC is over 30 years old and is now one of the largest drilling companies in theMiddle East .
A requirement for a security turnstile system was identified as part of a project to further the security of the building’s reception area without compromising the open and modern design or slowing down persons authorised to gain access to the building, IDl report. The pedestals were finished in polished stainless steel to minimise the impact on the overall building design.
