Booking is now open for the ASIS UK autumn event.
Hosts are Nomura in their Angel Lane office beside the River Thames near Cannon Street railway station; and the September 14 afternoon eventโs sponsors are scanning product company Scanna MSC.
Of the speakers, the organisers single out Deputy Chief Constable Stuart Hyde, who will be talking about the use of social media in policing. While the event was put together before the August rioting in England, itโs become especially topical because of police force use of social media to reassure people and to keep tabs on any criminality or incitement expressed online.
Also speaking are John Little, on counter-surveillance after national occupational standards (NOS); and Alexia Leachman on managing your reputation. Registration at Nomura is from 2pm, and the event ends with drinks from 6pm.
