E.ON was the latest venue for a regional breakfast meeting, on June 8, for security managers run by industry body ASIS.
Barrie Millett, head of business resilience at the utility, is an honorary president and past chairman of the UK chapter of ASIS. Welcoming visitors to the companyโs offices on the outskirts of Coventry, he stressed the use of the association fro a networking point of view, and learning from others about problems common to security managers.
Other E.ON attenders included Neil Wainman, security risk manager; and George Moss, security response centre manager, who gave tours of the siteโs control room after the event. It featured in the June 2009 issue of Professional Security magazine. Regional event organiser Tim Hodges mentioned that the next seminar – besides the quarterly meetings in London – is on October 27, on major incidents, in Birmingham.
