IA11 is the Government’s information assurance event, on June 28 and 29, covering cyber security and information assurance (IA).
IA11 will be used by the Coalition as a platform to engage with decision makers on the new National Cyber Security Strategy – which incorporates the National IA strategy.
Spakers invited include Baroness Neville-Jones, Minster of State for Security and Counter Terrorism; Iain Lobban, GCHQโs Director; Jonathan Hoyle, Director General for Information Security and Assurance at GCHQ; Art Gilliland, Vice President of Product Management for the Enterprise Security Group at IT security company Symantec; Victor Chavez, appointed Chief Executive of Thales UK in January 2011; and Neil Thompson, Director of the Office of Cyber Security and Information Assurance (OCSIA) since October 2009. The conference will see case studies from government departments and the 2012 London Olympics. Topics include cloud computing – how the government can use publicly available shared services, securely – and mobile working, how the public sector can use technology the same as private industry.
The venue is Park Plaza Westminster Bridge Hotel
