Auto-tracking Camera

by Msecadm4921

COMPRO have released their latest product, the NC500 PTZ auto-tracking network camera.

Featuring on-board automated and event-triggered tracking, Compro NC500 is suitable the manufacturers say for offices, reception areas, warehouses, or anywhere with a need to keep track of movements after hours.

The camera is able to provide stand-alone automated tracking thanks to its video analytics and its 340-degree pan, 100-degree tilt mechanical design. Twelve IR LEDs and a mechanical IR-cut filter with light sensor help the product deliver clear images even under low light the makers say. An IO connector allows NC500 to integrate with various wireless alarms and sensors, so when events like break-ins occur, the camera can initiate video recording and take snapshots, or do other actions. The camera also has a built-in microSD card slot for storing snapshots and video recordings, and an audio in/out port for two-way audio communication. The camera can use PoE (Power-over-Ethernet) to save time in installation.

The product can live-feed H.264, MPEG-4 or MJPEG video to PC or smartphone simultaneously. The 16-channel camera viewer supports Internet Explorer, FireFox, and other web browsers. The Email and SMS notification function allows the camera to send out event alerts triggered by external sensors, video analytics, audio detection, etc. A free Compro DDNS (Dynamic Domain Name Service) service is also available on the NC500 to enable remote viewing. For users who are building a home or office CCTV system, the 32-channel video management software, ComproView, is bundled free with the camera. That features video analytics, smart search and playback. The new camera will be available to order from the end of August.
