Award Shortlist

by Msecadm4921

Access control product manufacturer Bewator has been shortlisted for Most Innovative International Security Project, as part of this year’s IFSEC Industry Innovation Awards.

It’s for the DHL project Bewator has been working on in Sweden.

About the project

DHL is an international logistics company employing more than 160,000 employees in 220 countries. DHL needed an integrated security solution to manage its 70 offices in Sweden, including a warehouse in Örebro. Bewator’s 2010 system provided the security solution for this site, which now controls access to 150 doors and handles 900 alarm points throughout the office.
The 2010 integrates intruder alarm, access control, video management and fire warning systems. It also allows centralised control and surveillance of one or more buildings and enables end-users to monitor, act upon and follow up all security related issues, the makers say. If required, all of 2010’s functions can be controlled from a single PC and its ready integrated design means that new functions can easily be added, according to the manufacturers. DHL linked the 2010 system to a video surveillance system including over 120 cameras. ootage from the camera is managed using Bewator’s digital video management system (DVMS), Eventys, which, when integrated with 2010 offers a complete control and surveillance solution, it is claimed.
