Organisers of the biometrics conference and exhibition Biometrics 2011 announced an alliance with online information portal Planet Biometrics.
Now in its 14th year, Biometrics 2011 reported with a 20pc increase in conference delegate numbers in 2010. The show also attracted 50-plus exhibiting companies and more than 1000 visitors from around the world. The programme has been directed by Mark Lockie, Managing Director of Science Media Partners Ltd, and founder of Planet Biometrics, for more than a decades.
Nigel Clear, Conference Director at Elsevier says: โWe are extremely pleased to extend our existing relationship and to work together to further promote the annual Biometrics event as the leading networking and information source for professionals involved in biometric technology. The event continues to attract leading speakers and the major players in the field. Through this arrangement we will have, via Planet Biometrics, access to expert industry insight and increased exposure via the portalโs marketing opportunities. We are confident that this partnership will build on our existing success to create an even larger and more topical event.โ
Mark Lockie adds: โThe combined global reach of the two brands will be mutually beneficial in many ways. It will provide enhanced visibility of both the event and the portal to a large, yet qualified audience. The link will also provide new enhanced networking opportunities between the industry and the users of the technology both before, during and after the event takes place. With input from our team of expert advisory panellists and editors, I am confident that 2011 will see our best programme yet and go even further towards meeting the needs of our delegates and exhibitors.โ
