BritSec International is going into the Northern Irish market, under the name of NorthSec Security Services (NI) Limited.
Annual turnover in year ended April 2004 was in excess of £6m, the firm reports. The company adds that it specialises in providing manned guarding services comprising of static guarding, mobile patrols, key holding, alarm response and CCTV remote monitoring.
BritSec International has its head office in Ware, Hertfordshire, from where the company manages its South East contracts. These are primarily in North London, Hertfordshire and Essex. Contracts in central London are managed directly from the City of London offices in Luke Street EC2. In addition there are regional offices at Chester, Bristol and Stoke.
NorthSec Security Services (NI) Ltd has been set up to provide the same services in Northern Ireland. The local office is in Mallusk, County Antrim (just outside Belfast). The official opening day is on April 4, 2005 and will be attended by the Mayor of Newtownabbey. Invitations have been extended to BSIA, IPSA, SITO, NSI and The Security Watchdog. There will also be a representative from Police Service of Northern Ireland. Local businesses are also being invited to meet the staff, view the offices and inspect the SITO approved training centre. During the ceremony it is planned that NorthSec will be officially presented with their BSIA certificate,the firm adds.
About the firm
BritSec International reports it employs about 250 full time officers in England and Wales. The Company has ISO9001:2000 accreditation and membership of BSIA, on-site auditors The Security Watchdog (Gold Award), IPSA, and SITO. BritSec operations are inspected by NSI and the company has achieved National Britannia Safe Contractor status. The company reports it is actively engaged in developing and preparing all officers for the SIA licensing requirements. This involves the retraining of all officers on the new three-day SITO training course followed by a one-day Maybo Conflict Management course. This training is conducted at the company training school in Hertford and all new recruits receive this training before the start of employment.
