Birmingham City Council Events Department has announced that Firewalker Events Security has won in a competitive bid to supply security and event stewarding for all major council events (such as the annual Christmas lights switch-on) until March 2006.
Operations Director for Cannock-based Firewalkers Events Security, Chris Woodford, said: “The whole company has worked hard during 2005 to ensure a high standard of care, safety and attention to detail on every event we plan and work on. I am obviously delighted with the successful conclusion to this tender bid and it really does reinforce the commitment we have as a local company to events in the Birmingham area. I believe that we were also successful because of our ongoing training and licensing program and we continue to set standards over and above our local competitors.” Kevin Brown, Head of Events for Birmingham City Council said: “We very much look forward to working with the Firewalker team in the year ahead.”
