A new security group has been established, combining Cartel Security Systems plc and Delaware Communications plc.

The new group, OpenView Group Ltd. has a turnover in excess of £15m and employs more than 100 people.

About the firms

Cartel, based in Romford, is a designer and installer of entry systems, both estate and town centre cctv systems, and centralised concierge systems for local authorities and housing associations. Delaware Communications is based at offices in Birmingham and similarly does design and installation of entry systems and city-wide cctv monitoring. It has carried out contracts for Bristol, Leicester and Nottingham City Councils, building control centres with links to the police for centralised security monitoring. The two companies will continue to operate under their current names. The group is based in Romford and has offices in Birmingham, Manchester, Leicester and Bristol.

What they say

Mark Ingleson, Managing Director of OpenView Group Ltd said: "The core competencies of each of the two companies complement each other perfectly. By the sharing of best practice OpenView will bring an enhanced integrated offering to the market place. The group has the capacity to offer a national service and its financial resource means that we can compete for the largest of contracts."
