Distributor Gardiner Security has teamed up with CableNet Training to provide security installers with training: IP and network integration; and copper and fibre cabling.
To be run monthly at CableNetโs UK training headquarters, Academia House, the two courses both include units that contribute towards a BTEC qualification, the firms add.
IP & Network Integration is a two-day course giving installers the skills to design and test an Internet Protocol (IP) security solution over data networks. The course also covers basic network configuration requirements to commission IP digital network solutions, including software, codecs and cameras. It will be run on 27-28 June, 25-26 July, 31 August-1 September, 26-27 September, 26-27 October, 29-30 November and 19-20 December.
Copper and Fibre Cabling is a one-day course to make installers familiar with correctly installing and testing to required levels, auditing existing cable infrastructures, and troubleshooting and testing to the required Cat5e and Cat 6 standards. It will be run on days following the first course on 29 June, 27 July, 2 September, 28 September, 28 October, 1 December and 21 December.
