Samsung has introduced a new range of die-cast aluminium camera housings which have been designed as a result of feedback from installers.
Although the makers say competitively priced, the SHB-4300 camera housing range has features to facilitate easy installation such as:
•A flat open base and side opening to allow installers easy and convenient access to the workings of the housing from all sides.
•Three cable glands to enable the power, video and data cables to be run separately, ensuring that there can be no cross interference.
•Rear terminal blocks which allow the power entering the housing for the camera and lamps to be isolated, allowing them to be worked upon safely.
•A sunshield to add protection against the direct heat of the sun.
•All three housings incorporate a cable management bracket to ensure that the camera’s cable is neatly hidden away and protected from vandalism whilst the housing’s bracket also supports three rubber cable knockout points in case the housing is mounted onto a solid wall.
•Purpose built fittings for IR Lamps which are easily fitted to the base of the housing, enabling them to be pointed in the same direction as the camera.
There are three housings in the range all with built-in heater and fan. The SHB-4300H is a low voltage housing designed for applications where the temperature range is likely to be minus 35 degrees C to plus 50 degrees, whilst the SHB-4300H1 and SHB-4300H2 are high and low voltage units respectively which contain an added defroster making them suitable for operation in extreme environments with temperatures ranging from minus 50 degrees C to plus 50 degrees C.
Available from all Samsung distributors, the SHB-4300 housings are offered with full support services from Samsung Techwin Europe Ltd including free system design, free technical support and a full three-year warranty.
