Panasonic recently launched the BL-C101 and BL-C121 Network Cameras.
These cameras enable remote monitoring of places from anywhere in the world and at any time from a PC or mobile phone. Each model offers the option to detect moving objects such as humans and notify the user by email or audible alert on a PC.
For installation the BL-C101 features Panasonic proprietary PoE which supplies power and transmits images through a single cable whilst the BL-C121 features IEEE 802.11bg for cable free data transfer. The inclusion of Plug-and-Play support on both models takes installation a step further by making network setup effortless, it is claimed.
Both of the new cameras can simultaneously transmit MPEG-4 video and JPEG images to a PC or other mobile device and feature an integrated web server and website allowing users to monitor video and control a variety of camera functions.
