Camera With 650 TVL

by Msecadm4921

Hikvision Digital Technology recently announced an addition to its analogue camera portfolio with the new 650 TV lines CCD day-night camera, the DS-2CC1192P(N)(-A).

Although IP-video represents a growing segment in the industry, analogue cameras still occupy a sizable percentage of this overall market, the Chinese manufacturer says. However, the continued commercial success of analogue largely rests on the development of new technologies, the company adds. One such example is higher TV lines (TVL).

Analogue resolution is usually measured by TVL, with 540 TVL representing the industry standard. Recently, some manufacturers have developed higher TVL product lines – such as 650TVL – to provide better image quality. This DS camera uses Sony CCDs. A day-night function (0.1 lux at F1.2 with AGC on) allows it to see both highlights and darker areas effectively. An IR-cut filter switches on/off to further enhance this sensitivity in B/W mode.

This camera also comes with โ€œWide Dynamic Rangeโ€ technology and an โ€œauto irisโ€ with DC/Video drive feature to compensate backlight; and deliver clarity in extreme or contrasting lighting. Other features include fully supported include โ€œDigital Noise Reductionโ€, โ€œPower synchronizationโ€, and auto-white balance. Security applications the company says include financial institutions, government and airports. For more information – visit Hikvisionโ€™s website at –
